Mozzie’s Mix-Tape – Volume Three (2010 Re-Release)
This month, April 2010, marks one year since I released “Mozzie’s Mix-Tape – Volume Three”. There’s no point denying that this is by far my weakest release, and is the one I am least happy with. I decided that I can’t put up with its flaws any longer, and so I went back to this release, completely rearranged the tracklist so that it actually flows, and essentially mixed the album from scratch. Having now completed nine full mix-tapes (the seven main ones and two side-projects), I have much more experience in putting an album together than I did when I first created Volume Three, andI felt it was time to turn one of my worst releases into something worth listening to.

Mozzie's Mix-Tape - Volume Three (2010 Re-Release) (62.7 MiB, 236 hits)
Kaleidoscope – Volume One (Mixed By DJ Mozzie)

“Kaleidoscope – Volume One” came about when I was commencing work on “Mozzie’s Mix-Tape – Volume Eight”, but all of the tracks and remixes I found myself coming up with were very commercial and mainstream, and although my main mix-tapes have commercial sides to them, I didn’t want to fully employ that style in the next instalment, so I decided to create a whole new series, dedicated to mainstream pop music and remixes.
Kaleidoscope - Volume One (Mixed By DJ Mozzie) (58.9 MiB, 76 hits)
DJ Mozzie’s Track Reccomendations
2. Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Heads Will Roll (A-Trak Remix)

Checking In
Hey all,
Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile, things have been pretty busy but I finally have a chance to drop back in and update you on everything. I’m commencing a Bachelor of Music this year at the University of Newcastle, majoring in Creative Production. Really keen for it to start, and to gain a whole stack of new skills.
At the beginning of this year, I began work on two new side-project mix-tapes, which were “The Best Of 2009″ and “The Decade In Review”, but I ended up ditching both of them. The reason? Well, most of the best tracks from 2009 were featured on my main mix-tapes released throughout the year, so it would have repeated a lot. As for “The Decade In Review”, I’ve decided that I will instead compile “The Classics – Volume Two” over the coming months. Stay tuned for that!
Just wanted to thank everyone who downloaded “Mozzie’s Mix-Tape – Volume Seven” – your support is greatly appreciated! I haven’t officially commenced my work on “Volume Eight” but I’m definitely in the pre-production stages. Hopefully it will be done and ready to upload in the near future.
Hope that all is well! Be sure to check the Charts page at the top for my latest top ten.
- DJ Mozzie.

Armand Van Helden vs. The Presets – The Funk Phenomena 2010 (Kicking And Screaming) [DJ Mozzie Bootleg]
When I woke up this morning, I had these two songs simultaneously stuck in my head. Little did I know the two would work together so well as a bootleg. Here it is, the fourth DJ Mozzie mash-up of 2009.

About “Mozzie’s Mix-Tape – Volume Six”
I’d like to start off by saying that I’m really quite proud of this new mix-tape of mine. I have spent a good amount of time selecting the tracklist, experimenting with song groupings, demo mixing and becoming familiar with the songs. I have put in a considerable amount of effort to ensure that this mix-tape will be very enjoyable to all of you, and be of a very high standard, in song selection and mixing. At one stage, the mix-tape was in a finished state, and I was almost about to upload it to the website, but part of me was not happy with the flow of the mix, so I literally started from scratch, using some similar tracks of course, but with a completely new tracklist order.
It was important to me that this mix-tape was, above all else, balanced. On “Volume Six”, there are mainstream tracks (“Waking Up In Vegas”, “Paparazzi”), new remixes of older tunes (“What Is Love 2009″, “Wolfgang’s 5th Symphony”), some brand new progressive house tracks (“Electronic Love”, “I Will Be Here”), and some recent tracks that didn’t seem to get the credit that they deserved (“Knobbers” and “Signs”).
This mix-tape would not have been possible without the brilliant tracks produced by the amazing contributing artists, so if you hear a song here that you particularly enjoy, do the right thing and make purchase of that track from an online store, such as iTunes or Beatport.
As always, I very much hope that you enjoy “Mozzie’s Mix-Tape – Volume Six”, and would love to hear any feedback or comments that you might have, both constructive and/or encouraging.
- DJ Mozzie.

Vote for DJ Mozzie in the 2009 Sony InTheMix50 Competition!
Hey everybody,
I’m in the running for this year’s Sony InTheMix50 DJ Competition, under the Local DJ category. I would love it if anyone reading this could take the small amount of time to vote for me. You can do so by clicking this link:
http://www.inthemix.com.au/50/2009/myvote/5225/
However, to vote, you have to vote for a total of 3 Local DJs, 1 Live Act/Producer, 1 International DJ, 1 Club Night and 1 Festival/Event. If you don’t know who else to vote for, here’s my suggestion, and what I voted for.
Local DJs: DJ Mozzie (NSW), DJ Ajay (NSW), Hook ‘N’ Sling (NSW)
Live Act/Producer: The Potbelleez
International DJ: Deadmau5
Club Night: (I actually just clicked Browse for NSW and picked a random one).
Festival/Event: Big Day Out @ Homebush Showgrounds, Sydney (23/01/09).
Thanks heaps for your kind support! I’ll be the first to admit its highly unlikely I’ll place in the Top 50 but I might as well give it a stab.
